Privacy notice
This site is run by Matt Dunn. It has no accounts. The only form is the newsletter sign-up, which asks for your email address and nothing else.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes basic request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and protect the site. Fonts are served from this site, not from a third party.
Visit counts without cookies
Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views and visits. It doesn't set cookies or store anything on your device, and it doesn't track individual visitors.
Google Analytics (only if you accept)
If you click Accept on the cookie banner, the site loads Google Analytics 4. If you click Reject or ignore the banner, nothing from Google loads.
With your consent, Google Analytics records:
- the pages you view, how far you scroll, and the site you came from;
- clicks on links to other sites, including LinkedIn and Optimizely World;
- your device and browser type, and an approximate location (country and city).
Google Analytics 4 doesn't log or store IP addresses. Google signals and advertising features are switched off, and the data isn't used for ads. The data is kept for 14 months. Google provides the service and may process the data outside the UK; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

To change your choice, use (also in the footer). If you withdraw consent, the Google Analytics cookies are deleted.
The site owner's own visits are marked with a setting stored in his browser so they can be left out of the numbers. It isn't set for anyone else.
Newsletter
If you subscribe, your email address is sent through this site's host, Cloudflare, to EmailOctopus (Three Hearts Digital Ltd, London), which keeps the list and sends the emails. You'll get a confirmation email first, and you're only added to the list once you click the link in it.
- Your address is only used for this newsletter.
- Every email has an unsubscribe link. You can also reply to any email and ask me to delete your details.
- The emails don't track whether you open them. Clicks on links are counted so I can see which articles are useful.
- The sign-up form doesn't set cookies. If you accepted analytics cookies, Google Analytics records that a sign-up happened and on which page, but not your email address.
